Draw Up Injection Open the syringe package. Remove the needle cap. Do not touch the needle to anything. Make sure the needle is tight. Fill the syringe with air by pulling the plunger just to the amount of medication you use. In the next step, you will inject this air into the vial, and the air will allow the medication to be withdrawn into the syringe.
